there is some water.因为water是不可数名词，所以用is，可数名词才是are。此外，虽然用some修饰，但some既可修饰不可数名词也可修饰可数名词。

there is some water。谓语be遵循就近原则，与其后最近的名词单复数保持一致。water是不可数名词，所以只能是there is some water，与some无关。
